Chatanooooga!

So far I have had zero progress in triathlon training....instead I decided to drive with some friends down to Tennessee for the Griz Championship game. Definitely the longest drive of my life. We even drove straight through on the way there. Crazy. A total of 31 hours from Missoula to Chatanooga. We drove 3600 miles and were in the car for 50 hours. Even though the Griz didn't pull out a win it was still a great trip.

We did get to stop and spend a day in Nashville also and that was really cool. We even saw Ronnie Dunn from Brooks and Dunn. He came into the music shop where a friends brother works and he walked in and it was no big deal. Very cool. The workers were just like-Hey, how's it going, what can we get you? Yeah, he definitely got something from the top shelf. High class.

Tomorrow I leave for Vegas for a week (Yeah!) and then the training will officially begin.

Griz Triathlon

Ok, so this is my first attempt at a blog. Definitely never thought I would have one...but here I am, with a reason. Today I decided that on April 11, 2009 I will participate in the Grizzly Triathlon. I have never done anything like this and I am very excited...as well as terrified. I have never biked or swam competitively so this will be quite a challenge for me-which is what I want.

Grizzly Tri: April 11, 2009
1000 yd swim
20 km bike
5 k run

Wow, anyone else think I'm crazy?

-P.S. Thanks to my crazy friend Bryan who has no idea how much he is going to have to help me along the way :)
